Jimmy Fulton back on top after 40 years
THIS season’s racing has thrown up a series of very popular winners in the Derwent Valley Federation. Lol Turner (Harrington Central) and Frank Scott (Seaton RBL) were both winning their first Fed races, and this week-end’s opening channel event provided Jimmy Fulton with his first Derwent Valley winner for nearly 40 years.
King Of The Distance
After several years absence from the Dewsbury and Wakefield 2 Bird Club, 72 year old Ronnie Hinchliffe rejoined after the headquarters were moved to Osett Snooker Club not far from his home.

Steve Chambers clocked his 16th West Cumberland Federation topper from the recent Cheltenham race – and immediately dedicated the win to his brother Jim.
W & M Brown of St Helen
Bill has kept pigeons for most of his life, and one of his first memories is of his mother bringing two birds home for him in her shopping bag from a local fancier so it was expected that he would come into the racing game. He flew in Earlstown F,C in 1975.
Dave Gardner of Cleelofts
I made my way over to Cleethorpes to the lofts of Mr & Mrs Dave Gardner, Their results are outstanding, both in their club the Cleethorpes Imperial FC and the Lincolnshire South Road Federation which has a membership of approximately 300.
North of England Homing Union Folkestone Classic 2010
Monday the 10th of May 2010 saw approximately 26,550 pigeons belonging to members of the North of England Homing Union liberated at Folkestone in Kent to race back to lofts competing in the four racing organisations affiliated to the North of England Homing Union.
